One Way to Make Sure Your July Is Not Normal

Do you ever feel less than? Like you’re not enough? All the effort you’re making isn’t moving the needle? You’re on a hamster wheel just spinning, spinning, spinning, not going anywhere and not having fun on it?

As we begin the month of July, we have an opportunity to change. Maybe the only thing that needs to change is your mental self-talk. Don’t change everything at one time. Pick one thing. Do it for the month of July.

For the next 31 days, I’m committing to doing 5-10 minutes of “quiet time”. My sister gave me a book and journal that I’m going to commit to going through.

Summer is an extremely busy time for us. With the long daylight hours, we’re working all those extra hours and I’m rarely in the house. It’s not uncommon for us to leave before 7 and not get home before 10. The limited time I have in our house goes to things like laundry, dishes, bill paying, etc. But in July, I’m going to make it a priority to complete a day in this devotional.

That’s all. That’s all I’m going to change in my schedule. What are you going to change to give you more peace in your life?
